Not much is happening at cogwurx industries at the moment. I'm in the process of updating my wife's website and I'm in the middle of a painting that I'm taking things slow on. So hopefully this holiday season I will have time to finish Jenn's website and the painting.

Well, I've been at my new job for a week now and I have to say that I'm enjoying it much. I do miss the comradery, though. And since I am with a new company I had to move my websites to a new server and find new hosting. Sigh...it was tough, but it worked itself out and found a great place (so far) to have my sites hosted. With that out of the way I was able to finish a painting for my dining room and start on another. Check the latest painting out in the traditional gallery.

Just give you all a heads up, there will be some hic-cups on this site for a little bit. Not sure when exactly they will occur, but it will be soon. I will be moving this site to a new server and hosting company. Hopefully, this transition will be smooth, but I've done enough of these transfers to know better :-]

It's been a rather creative month. I've been doing a lot of oils lately and I'm loving it. There is just something really good about painting in oils...very relaxing. I think I've made a lot of progress in my colors. Thanks, in many ways, to my wife. She's great a color mixing.
I've got 2 more paintings in the works. So look for them soon.

Some nifty things are in the works here at cogwurx. I have prints available at zazzle and will soon have more prints in the works through a different distributor. Should be interesting. More news as I get it.
This new distributorship should be a really good oportunity for me. I'm excited and anxious at the same time.

I've kinda reached a plateau of sorts as an artist. I'm trying to get out of a rut so to speak. Basically, I'm pushing myself to my limits right now trying to break through barriers of my own making. I want out of my artistic comfort zone...I'm stagnant and I don't like it. So I'm stepping back and working on technique and style rather than finished pieces. It's hard, but I think it will be good for me in the long run. Anyway, things might be slower than usual around here. I've been working on the prints area, but zazzle is having some issues with my gallery. My logo looks awful and distorted and they haven't removed some of my older work that I took out of my gallery. Ah well, it hasn't been a week yet so that I'm not going to pester them until the full week is up. Meaning after a full business week if my gallery not fixed, Rome will not be happy.

To those few visitors to this site I'm going to be cleaning out the galleries a bit. I'm maturing as an artist and as I look through the galleries there a many pieces that are not that strong and/or not that good. So I think it's time that I made my galleries a bit more solid.
My first act will be to get rid of my Alphabet Soup series. I feel that it stagnated me as an artist so it's gone. :-] More images will follow.

Been rather busy lately. I've got a couple updates in the works. One is to add a new design and I have 2 paintings sketched out and ready to be painted. I also started a digital piece, but I hit a brick wall with it. I just don't know what more to do with it. I'm sure it will come to me.

Not much going on. I have a few paintings in the works right now. It's slow going just do to life interfering and other distractions. :-] I'll hopefully have things to put up on the site in a few weeks or so.
I did a performance art piece last weekend...meaning I painted a painting in front of a church congregation. It was an interesting experience to say the least. More on that later, once I post the image photo of the painting.

I'm still struggling with artist direction. I feel like I see some cool artwork and I want to try it...thinking maybe that is my style...but I go no where with it. It's like I'm a buoy tossed about by the waves. I'm close though...at least that's what I keep telling myself.

Spring cleaning in the middle of winter!
Well, Yesterday I and Jenn celebrated 5 wonderful months of wedded bliss. Yay us!
And today, I'm cleaning out some of my prints. I've had them up for about a year and none sold :-[ Plus they weren't my strongest pieces...so off they went.

For those of you keeping track of the updates on this is site...you may have noticed that I've added a whole bunch of new things. Well, I've added most of the design work that I've done over the last couple of years. I'm in the middle of a few projects right now in the design realm and I'll post those up when they are completed and have gone live.
In the more artsy fartsy realm of my work...things are slow going...I'm working primarily in oils right now and so it takes a bit of time :-]
